The idea behind Chholay (A Unit of Matta Kansara & Sons LLP) is to bring the authentic Dilli wala swaad to Mumbai, while ensuring the food offered is tasty, fresh, sufficient, value for money and served with the warmth that feels nothing less than maa ke haath ka khaana.

RAJEEV MATTA
Chholay is Rajeev Matta’s brainchild who has been a veteran in the Food and Beverages (F&B) industry for over four decades. His idea behind the restaurant is straightforward – merging needs with business basics such as having a limited menu along with a scalable model.
With Chholay’s level of hospitality that ensures each guest is given a personalized treatment to feel at home, Mr. Matta has not only opened the doors to ensure that there are repeat customers, but that they repeat their visits often – the two main criteria any F & B industry runs on.

PULKIT MATTA
Pulkit wears business passion up his sleeves and has a desire to create a brand which can be not only profitable to all stakeholders but also means of livelihood to many families. He has done his Masters from Mumbai University and has experience in Finance, Banking and Marketing.
Pulkit is a people’s man and carries the team at Chholay very effectively with him. His dealing with all stakeholders is friendly and sows the seed for the desired long-term relationship, essential for any business. He has dreams of taking this concept to great heights.
EFFICIENT AND ORGANIZED
HOW IT WORKS
Chholay can be set up in places as small as 200 sq feet and requires not more than two people to manage the place in one shift, it has induction-based cooking equipment and runs solely on clean electrical energy. It duplicates as cloud kitchen for deliveries through multiple digital platforms, including Chholay’s own. The food is prepared in a central kitchen and supplied to all Chholay outlets in one city.
